How often do you set goals for yourself, set dates, make plans to make it happen and you say things like …

When I reach that goal, I’ll reward myself with…

When I make x amount of dollars, I’ll take the vacation or remodel the bathroom or hire the assistant.

When I build a downline, help x amount of people, etc… I will FEEL successful.

When they change their behavior, keep their promises, get off their devices, so will I!

Did that gut punch you like it did me?

So are you “impatiently” waiting to reach your goals, acting out of desperation, waiting for the WHEN …

Or are you LIVING your life as the BEST version of you NOW?!

<Insert Hmm>

I’ve definitely done the prior — In the way I used to run my business and in my personal life. We often want “it” so badly that we ruin it before it begins by overthinking, forcing, doing more of the wrong activities, worrying, comparing, doubting, being envious…

In turn my energy, attitude, belief and perspective start to become negative and I’d no longer act out of faith and belief, but desperation while procrastinating, blaming outwardly and making excuses.

And the only things that are going to show up in your business and life is more negativity and people that blame, procrastinate or make excuses. #Woof

So, how do you get out of this all too familiar trap and rut?

  1. Start showing up as the person you want to become TODAY! The Mom, business owner, partner, daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, teammate, etc.

How does that person walk through life. How do they feel, talk, act, react? What are all the things they’re going to do “WHEN?”

And then… Lead from the FRONT!

So maybe that means it’s time to create, update or revamp some plans. Doing the self care NOW or changing your attitude, perspective or mindset. Maybe it’s throwing some old ways, habits or clutter in the trash. It could be as easy as trying something new, asking for help from someone that’s been there or delegating.

2. Why. Ask yourself WHY all day long. Why am I doing this? Why does this thing even matter? Is this getting me closer or further away from living the life of my dreams? Why am I procrastinating, avoiding, fearful? If the why isn’t aligning with your personal why PIVOT.

3. Keep your promises to yourself. Stop throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks! Some things I teach in my Time Management Guide are: Make a PLAN to reach those goals, work against a clock and stick to your schedule! Turn off notifications, put the phone on airplane mode or keep it out of sight, out of mind to eliminate distractions which will create time to actually LIVE your life.

4. Do it CONSISTENTLY. Doing the right actions while patiently and consistently showing up as the best version of your self will 100% result in you reaching your goals, exploding your business, breaking the habits, healing the parts of you that need to be healed, etc. See your plan through, do not deviate — #Bonus Doing this and keeping your promises builds character, strength, resiliency, self love and discipline.

Things may not always work out in the order or time that you thought, but what’s amazing is that when you’re truly PATIENT and pursue your goals MINDFULLY — So many other amazing things will happen along the way!
