Being Too Relatable Could Be Hurting Your Network Marketing Business

In building my network marketing business, I always want to be relatable so I could find and attract my tribe! I was so desperate to do this that when I saw someone else’s post that I resonated with, I’d post something similar. #Cheers

If there was a new launch coming out, I took it as my “responsibility” to promote that product or program otherwise, because if I had belief in the company and was “dedicated to buiding my team,” that’s what I was supposed to do. I wouldn’t be able to reach people that needed or wanted that program even if it wasn’t my jam.

Think about that — Are you so busy promoting a company, product or opportunity, that YOU’ve gotten lost in the shuffle.

Like me, you may think you’re creating your identity and using your voice, but are you? Or are you using someone’s voice from Corporate, a peer, your upline?! Are you doing something just because others are and you think that’s the only way to be successful?

Are you dressing a certain way, doing forced Insta Reels, hair tutorials or #OOTD because others are even if you couldn’t care less about hair or fitness?

Does trying to fit in or that build your brand or sell someone else’s product?

Stop doing that.

What do YOU actually want to do? WHO do YOU want to serve and WHY?

If you are trying to fit in and be like everyone else or do what everyone else is doing — You will never stand out amongst a sea of coaches.

You ARE different. You do not belong in a box. You are so much more than a cookie cutter network marketer! Your creative ideas, courses you want to create, groups your want to run, expertise, time, energy and love you give is SO valuable.

Give yourself permission to BE you, do YOU, dress like you, talk like you, step up your results or go against the grain and STEP INTO YOUR POWER.

I dare you to be different. Someone is waiting for a leader that looks like you, with your voice, your knowledge, your results, but they can’t hear you or find you if you’re too busy trying to fit in or be like everyone else!

When you do this, you will attract the people that VALUE your energy! And, yes you’ll likely scare some people and remember that’s OK because they were not your people!

So, how do you start or restart?

Start Marketing YOU and YOUR BRAND!

Don’t be scurd — Marketing isn’t some mountain to be climbed that requires a lot of equipment, supplies and a team of support.

Marketing is simple when you have the foundations in place.

Therein lies the problem with most coaches today — the foundation needs work.

Here’s what your foundation requires:

  • Clear messaging. Who you are, what you do and why anyone should care about it.
  • A single audience (for now… you can expand later)
  • One flagship offer — just ONE.
  • Visibility that establishes Authority + converts into sales (aka: a kickass social media funnel)
